As a frequent world traveler who finds the luxury of five-star hotel rooms to be a deeply comforting space, the client wanted to experience that level of refinement at home as well. LuxySpace referenced haute modern hospitality architecture as inspiration for the design. Envisioning a home with the superb surroundings and unforgettable details one might find in the world’s most exclusive hotels—but with the welcoming embrace of a private residence.
The result? Golden View is a home that has clean minimalism and striking design but still supports a sense of tranquility and elevated wellbeing.
One of the client’s favorite rooms is the dining room. The client enjoys hosting small, intimate gatherings when in residence, so LuxySpace incorporated the client’s appreciation for natural elements and water features in this area that are also often showcased in luxury hotels.
In the dining room, a waterfall-inspired, custom glass chandelier cascades down over nine feet to the dining table below. This magnificent piece became the focal point of the room. Mimicking the essence of a trickling waterfall, this grand chandelier featured hand-blown glass links, each one unique in its structure and design, with an overall organic natural feeling that promoted the essence of Mother Nature.
The installation of the piece—which took days of careful work—involved interlocking each individual, handblown c-rings, until all 1,268 pieces were secured.
Beneath the waterfall chandelier, a custom designed dining table is perfectly paired with modern armchairs of the utmost comfort. A grass-cloth wallpaper perfectly complements the recurring natural elements throughout the room, while the structure and texture of the tall drapes brings about a formal yet comfortable element that moves the eye from floor to ceiling. The end result was a space perfect for hosting both formal and casual events. In the great room, referencing nature and five-star refinement, the river stone cocktail table is sleek, minimalist, and pebble-shaped. Raw silk drapery, both elegant and bold, helped the overall space feel well-balanced and unified, promoting rest and relaxation.
LUXYSPACE tempered the minimalist home with rich walnut-paneled walls and surfaces. The vertical and horizontal grains added depth and warmth creating a welcoming aliveness that the client longed for.
Modern Luxe Sanctuary : In the more intimate inner sanctum, LUXYSPACE transformed their client’s bedroom into an elegant yet cozy retreat, with leather-textured wallpaper and a spectacular, custom designed bed that allows the ceiling to commune with the headboard. The challenge in this room was the roof pitch with a clipped corner; contemplated on how to create a place of peace and relaxation strategically incorporating the existing structural limitations. The custom bed was conceptualized with a floating platform bed, custom upholstered headboard and fully paneled ceiling details.
Our team enjoyed the challenges of redesigning this home and transforming the space into its fullest potential. The final outcome resulted in a sophisticated space for the utmost comfort and relaxation.
